Needs ability to charge in the field.

Overall these are nice radios. Why Midland omitted the ability to charge these while in the field from a DC power source is baffling or shortsighted. These radios are not good for multi-day tips or even a long day as you have to have an AC power source to charge them or carry several extra batteries.

    Batteries Are Horrible

Bought this from an outdoor store in california, not online. The Batteries die frequently and suddenly. The battery bar shows full then they just die. I have only used on the low power mode and just for use in cars so we can talk when out of cell service, etc.

Also its very lame that the usb and car charging accessories don't work for this model.

    Nice little HT

I bought these to use for communications while off roading. They were easy to use and their performance was as expected for a handy talkie used inside a vehicle. Range was what I anticipated. No complaints. Time to buy a couple more.

    Great radio’s

Bought these to use at the beach with other vehicles. Love the wolf call audio. Range is decent. Battery life and lack of USB charging is only down side. But always have a little inverter on truck to recharge.

    Really enjoyed using these

Got these for hunting trips. But started using them to communicate with my grandson. Suburban setting approx 1.5 to 2 miles distance. Has some static but voice is clear.

    Breaker breaker

    An awesome product!
The distance is great between the the radios, and even works well with MXT-275.
